I haven’t written about the Oregon House races since the primary in May so I think it’s time to give you my rundown on what’s going on and of course give you links and info to each race. In no particular order here are the Republican House candidates to keep your eyes on.
House District 20 (Parts of South Salem, West Salem, Monmouth, Independence)
This is the race between an incumbent Democrat and Republican candidate Laura Morett. This is probably THE race to watch as Fall approaches as this was traditionally a Republican seat, but was lost to the Democrats in 2014. You can learn more about Laura at her website HERE and her Facebook page HERE.
House District 22 (Woodburn and parts of Northeast Salem)
This is an “open seat” meaning the incumbent is retiring. The Republican candidate is Patti Milne, the long time Marion County Commissioner and former State Representative. Learn more at her website HERE and Facebook page HERE.
House District 14 (Junction City and parts of West Eugene)
House District 51 (Happy Valley area)
House District 40 (Oregon City area)
House District 9 (Coos Bay)
Teri Grier is a long time Republican PCP and a public relations manager who is a great candidate for a district that is “ripe for the picking”. Learn more about her on her website HERE and her Facebook page HERE.
House District 29 (Forest Grove)
This is a “takeaway” seat for Republicans, a Democrat holds it now and we have Juanita Lint as our candidate. Learn more about her at her Facebook page HERE.
House District 30 (Hillsboro)
House District 32 (Astoria, Tillamook, Warrenton)
House District 24 (McMinnville mostly)
House District 11 (Central Lane and Linn Counties, Springfield)
This is a seat long held by a Democrat but we have a great candidate in Joe Potwora! Learn more about Joe HERE.
House District 26 (Wilsonville)
House District 21 (Mostly Salem)
House District 38 (Lake Oswego)
House District 56 (Klamath Falls)
House District 41 (Milwaukie)
One more “open seat” that we’d like to get into Republican hands and one of the hardest working candidates you’ll find is Tim McMenamin! Learn more about Tim at his website HERE and his Facebook page HERE.
There you have it…..16 awesome candidates and one in just about every area of Oregon that has either an open seat or we’d like to wrest away from Democrat control. I would strongly urge you to find the one nearest you, walk and knock with them or otherwise volunteer….give financial support and tell ALL of your friends who live in these districts about these great candidates! Together, we CAN take back Oregon!!
